Kde4 (kdemod) on Archlinux.

Runs flawlessly :) Except the one thing - tray icon's background - isn't it supposed to be transparent?

I'm looking forward to migrating to KDE too, 4.2 seems to fix a lot of issues, and KDE apps are, overall, much more complete than Gnome ones (i.e., Dolphin is much newer than Nautilus, but much better). Gnome desktop seems stagnated, and it's getting me bored.

I agree with the lack of major changes in GNOME. Looks like the devs are only fixing their bugs - and if they even introduce something new, it's usually totally useless ( ekiga, epiphany, deskbar, evolution or empathy - jesus, who uses any of those? ). However, QT engine which is being widely used by KDE seems to be just different and it doesn't quite suits me. I love the wide variety of gtk themes and changes you can apply to them - kde seems to be limited at this area.

Nice to see you using KDE4 :)
The composite-tray-bug is already fixed in the newest git version of KDE4, just wait for 4.2 or 4.1.4, should be fixed there too!
